Saw a button once that encapsulated my feelings about The Dead perfectly: "I'll be Grateful When They're Dead"...

Not at all, it was the fact that they sucked.

I'm happy to be seeing Furthur when they come back to town again in a few months. They skipped Seattle last tour. I drove to Eugene, Oregon and had a great time that weekend.

Ive only seen it on youtube. I was really young when In the Dark came out. Hell, I was only 12 when Jerry died.

The autumn after Jerry's death, a guy at college played me a really heavy, dirge-like Jerry song. It was slow and sad and very pensive. I'm not sure if it was Dead or solo Jerry, or a cover, or what.

Anyway, it was a great tune, and I've lost touch with the friend, and if anyone has any idea what song it might be I'd appreciate it.

All I remember is my friend commenting while we were listening to it - "Jerry must have known his time was coming to an end."
