I guess because I was the right age and Christopher reeve really captured the essence of superman...for me superman I & II

Loved Superman II as a kid, in fact liked it better than the first, but it hasn't aged well at all. Special FX are awful. His super-hypnotism to push the reset button on his relationship with Lois was a total cop out. The stuff at the end in the Fortress of Solitude is cringe-worthy with the now-you-see-me-now-you-don't illusions and grabbing his S and using it as some odd cellophane weapon while saying its something he played as a child even though he was sent to earth as an infant. Then, after regaining his power he goes and lays the smack down on the trucker goon who harassed Lois when Supes was human which is not the big blue boy scout at all.

Even as a kid did love me some Ursa though. Frigid British bitch, mmmm...

I know everybody doesn't like Watchmen. But to me this is the best comic movie.

Thanks for the av compliment exxaro deserves the credit though. No, I hated Avatar too. I started rooting for the Marines about halfway through with all that spiritual crap. It had potential, it just suffered from the Star Wars movie plan of product placement before story.
