this song reminds me of a real good day I had with my dad going to a Red Sox game. Remember it playing on the ride in and really liking it. I was probably about 6 or 7. It was a week or 2 after Evel Knievel tried to jump the Snake River Canyon. Song always makes me remember that day.

Waking up at 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 in the morning to the cries of a colicky baby, and bouncing her up and down to this song, which was the only thing in the world that would settle her down.

Early teens in the early 80's and my brother was in the military , My sisters were in California , My mom split from my dad and moved to Cali. Me and pops lived in Detroit and he was a truck driver and hardly home. I used to go in the finished basement to get the fuck away from life , Lay on the couch and put the headphones on , Fill a bowl and pop in these 8-track's.

Early 80's , Went with a friend of mine to collect some money owed to him from the lead singer from "The Rockets" , Dude just woke up , He was telling us a story about getting in a band fight the night before, And then chipping his tooth on the mike while singing some song.

The dudes name was David Gilbert.

The big song that they had was "Oh Well"

A couple other songs that played on the radio.

closest i ever came to feeling suicidal. lost my girl, hated my job, couldn't see ahead... Then this song came on college radio and made me laugh in a genuine way that was healing in some manner...

In hindsight, it's not hilarious or epic at all, it's just what I needed at a brief moment in time:

August 7th, 1991 at the CNE in Toronto. This is a pretty damn good approximation of how mind-blowing that concert was. No drugs either, just songs I'll never hear live again. I was 16 then, the age when music really matters.

I was going out with this blonde stripper for a few weeks named Linda (with an ass to die for!) who worked at a place called (Henry the VIII South) in Southgate Mi , It was back in the late 80's, She had a big ole parrot tattoo on her shoulder but she was hot as hell.

She was way into this New band called "Guns And Roses" , And She would tip the DJ to play them for every dance.

Her favorite song to dance to was this one.

This was the next in que.

I absolutely love Stevie...This brings me back to watching my dad kill himself to go to work long hours, every day, during the rough 70s....we never really saw him

Stevie has that Neil Young quality...he brings the real...and the love

Greekfreak already posted, "Three Days" by Jane's Addiction, which is a song that is an audible time machine to 1995 for me, in my life.

I'm 14 going on 15 and I've decided that I no longer feel like trying to fit in, that its a constant race. I've started wearing all black, carrying a vintage Evel Knievel lunchbox instead of a purse, and hoping someday that I become Mrs. Trent Reznor. Its after 11p.m., my parents are asleep and my bedroom window is open. I removed "Ritual De Lo Habitual" from my cd player, I turned on the TV in my bedroom to MTV. I grab laundry and start stuffing it under the blankets on my bed, forming it into a person-like shape. I grab a black t-shirt from my dresser drawer and drape it on my pillow to replicate my long black hair.

I'm excited, getting ready to sneak off into the night with my friends and a boy that I'm starting to have a huge crush on.

This is playing in the background on MTV....

    "In nonsense is strength."

Grew up in the city of Detroit around the bullshit of trying to get by with a destination of no good , I dreamed of being a normal asshole mowing his lawn while waving at the neighbors.. Then I met this women from the burbs (Garden City MI) , Married her and we had 2 kids and moved to the cornfields of michigan with a normal lifestyle.

I was on a buisness trip one day driving down the road and this song came on , And this song hit me hard.
