We met with a lawyer yesterday to discuss the rental house. We have no choice but to let it go. Repairs are too expensive and will take too long. plus next year new elevation requirements are forcing us to lift the house on pilings or pay 10 to 12k a year flood insurance. It turned into a loss no matter what we do.

I am trying to avoid thinking there was some strange connection with the loss of an innocent black kittie and the removal of your mom's melanotic (black) skin lesion...as if the good news for your mom somehow entailed some cosmic deal wherein the sweet innocent kittie had to be lost to make it happen.

I know this is absurd; the yin and yang of life always is on some level.
