Wow... I was expecting a bunch of goof messages like would be on Adorama for the Calendar, or on a Beth web article.... only checked a page, but seems to be AGT fans not loving Hoard. Wonder if this is what NBC was going for... no such thing as bad press... right?

I miss Billy.
Howie along with chewing Billy down in salary wanted West to assume liability for his amazingly funny mean hurtful spontaneous comedy...:coffee:

As much as I loved Artie, the Billy era was truly the best of THSS.

I agree! 1988 -1995 was the best of the Stern show.

But I will say that the post Artie-less "Revolution" has heightened Lange's Stern show legacy.
Best Artie years were before Sirius in my opinion.

I agree completely Nemo. Sirius did not improve the show at all except for the all day replay, which is great.

Regarding the video in post 3. Even back then Robin giggles incessantly at every unfunny thing Howard said.

Great thread, Ruff. I ALMOST feel bad for saying this. But I hope AGT tanks big time. (Yeah, I know. But I HOPE it does.)

Agreed!
West was one of a kind, and a great loss to the show. When Billy was in the studio, you knew the laughter would be there as well. :D

The tyrants always want to close down sites. To take away the freedoms of the "small people". That old man should be ashamed of himself.

The funny thing is, because Stern is so irrelevant, nobody knows who he is anymore!! :jj: If they only knew he's nothing like what all of those people remember him as. Thankfully and hopefully, all of those people won't tune in like they say they won't so NBC and AGT does take a huge hit in the ratings. I love it!!! Too fucking funny!!!
