The weather agreed with us and we didn't even get one drop of rain, overcast most of the day but the last 4 hours of the day was pure sunshine. We all met in Rockford Illinois where our ride took us to Dubuque IA, up the Great River Road to Marquette IA and then crossed over the Mississippi to Prairie Du Chien for our ride down the Wisconsin side Great River Road. All in all a great day. The only problem was one of us four brought his wife. This put a little damper on the situation and she might have seen a couple of things that could get me in a little trouble.

Anyway our first stop was in Marquette IA where Bro can get excited because we went to the Lady Luck Casino which is an old fashion paddle boat. I dropped 50 bucks, no doubloons.

The town is bordered by cliffs and the river.

This is right out the back door of the bar, they have abour 50 eagles soaring, this isn't far from the famed Docarah eagle cam. These are taken with a point and shoot digital.

The Mississippi is really awesome, it's no wonder Mark Twain wrote about it

Then we wound up on this island to enjoy a fish fry, bluegill, catfish and walleye.

All in all it was a great day, good food, cold beer, gambling, plenty of babes and we had our rain gear but didn't get hit with any rain. :cheer:

I think those are buzzards circling. They look nice in the sky, but....

I think I'm right, there could be a buzzard in the group but look at the wings. Plus we saw those buggers, they were eagles

Then that's extraordinarily cool. I thought eagles don't flock, but I ain't no bird expert.

They aren't flocking, there is a small section of the water where they dive to feed, they circle waiting for the fish to surface getting insects that fall into the water, they dive down all the time and snag a fish. Very cool, wish I had a place there to sip my coffee and watch them.

Friend's wife saw me talking to some people and then I left for a bit with a girl. When I came back she assumed something happened. Wives are nosy and this is the reason it was supposed to be just guys. Now I bet he wont be able to go without bringing his wife and same goes for anybody else she gossips too.

We've got a very effective rule. Any women that want to go have to get topless in front of everyone before we leave.

One year they all got together before hand and had some kind of agreement and did :c

But they haven't gone since that year :hhh:
