The same ways "ringtone" rings, you read a "book" on an e-reader. Some people still call the fridge the "ice-box." Or that cold thing at McDonalds a "milkshake." How about the "glove compartment" in your car. They describe the latest version of a thing in old terms. Internet radio is about getting a variety of real-time audio content from a public source - the "radio" part is anachronistic, but carries much of its original content with it into the future. It's all about the evolutionary history and provenance of language. Life would be even more boring without that, in my opinion. :)

My opinions hang low, and drag in the dirt.

I was thinking of that too. Got together with some friends I hadn't seen in, well, a number of decades, and a guy was saying, "I love Amos Lee and I have all his records." My daughter is all like "wtf?"

"I feel a hot wind on my shoulder
And the touch of a world that is older
I turn the switch and check the number
I leave it on when in bed I slumber
I hear the rhythms of the music
I buy the product and never use it
I hear the talking of the DJ
Can't understand just what does he say?"
