Has some sort of ear problem. Took him to the vet twice. Meds, etc. Whatever is in there won't come out and everytime the vet looks it bleeds and bleeds. And he keeps scratching. So another appointment where they'll put him out and go in and see what's going on.

Thing is, everytime he shakes his head the blood going flying.

Poor little guy. He's also FIV postive.

Yikes. Poor little critter. Spontaneous bleeding from any orifice is alarming. Best of luck, Felix.

sorry to hear that -- we had a cat once that kept getting ear infections -- had to keep having her ears lanced -- messy business

we rescued yet another cat on Monday -- 4 year old, pure-bred Bengal cat -- rich lady's daughter bought it, then left it at home when she moved out -- lady was going to put it down rather than bother to find a new home (because she didn't want it around when the daughter got married at the house!)-- luckily a neighbor asked for a week to find a new home for it -- she's a sweetheart

I'm sorry to hear about your pet.
Bleeding from the ears is very scary.
I'm sure the vet will be able help your little pard out.
He looks like a kitten -how old is he?

Forgive me for wondering if they've given him a cat scan yet...

how's your cat today sfgirl?
it might be bleeding because the cat is scratching...
take a tiny bit of hydrocortizone cream on a little piece of cotton
and swab the inner area. That will take away some of the itch.
Don't use a lot though. You don't want the kitty to be licking it's paws
with the cream on it.

oh yeah...one more thing.
take a nail clipper and cut the cat's front nails
so they aren't so sharp.
If you have trouble doing that,
wrap a bath towel around the cat
and pull one leg out at a time.

I hate it when an animal is in pain, they cant tell you where it hurts :(

Thanks everyone. Good ideas Lola. I will do that.
That's a beautiful cat agmod. To think they would just put it down....sad.

Please let us know what the Vet said, SF...trimming the nails and hydrocortisone sounded like perfect advice...especially if its a really bad ear mite infestation and he won't cooperate. I hope it turns out to be easily treatable. His fur is amazingly silky in the pic!
