His campaign for AGT put the spotlight on his miniscule fan base and zero audience radio show. People who once thought different now know Howard has almost no star power left. Funny that Howard’s got some brand new chompers, but the industry he’s brutalized now see he has no bite left in his teeth.

Maybe he got the AGT gig because NBC thought he still had an audience, still had a brand people desired since it was put out there he was worth $500 mil with his first contract and another half bil with this one. Sirius must know something, right? Well thanks to his stupid lawsuit, we all know that’s bullshit. The first contract only had the potential for $500 mil. And since Howard is saying he’s making the same money with this contract and he can’t prove it, I say bullshit. I’ll say he’s making a lot less, the fucking liar.

AGT may get a few weeks minor bounce and then settle back into third place, but that isn't what Howard needs.

Buchwald's internal polling must show desperate straits to have caused them to order Stern Show Staffers to populate the audience to support Howard. Paying wackpackers to attend and giving creepy shout outs to them is a real sign on how nervous 112 Productions is on the success of this.

Throughout the entire season, Howard will pompousy 'educate' lardy contestants about the nature of showbiz & then commanded them to shift some lb's -- & in true Howard style, he'll spin it out & win over the studio audience. But out there in televisionland, there'll be plenty of fat broads -- possibly AGT fans, who'll switch channel. What kind of masochist wants constant reminders of their lacking will power & unattractiveness?

I'm wondering how many of Howard's comments that he thinks are so witty will get edited out because AGT thinks they're too offensive. He says stuff every day on his show (seemingly without realizing it) that would cause big trouble if anyone besides his small audience heard it. It's not the obscene stuff, it's the snide little comments about minorities, ethnic groups, the handicapped, and various public figures he's jealous of but are beloved by the rest of the world.

he can't pull that off: Simon is sort of a lovable curmudgeon who the audience gets a kick out of because they sense he is not by nature mean-spirited. Howard on the other hand is mean-spirited, sounds pissy when he's critical or dumping on contestants and the audience can sense it's his true behavioral default. Besides that, all that meanness coming out a face that resembles an old gargoyle certainly doesn't lessen the impression.
