I listened to wed. podcast and Artie was attacking all the guests and callers and Nick of course. Not in the fun happy way he usually does either, seemed like withdrawl symptoms or something. Anybody else pick up on this? He was asking guests questions then 2 seconds into the answer he asks another question, like a dude on speed. It was hard to listen to, I hope this doesn't turn into suicide attempt 2.0.

What do you guys think?

Haven't heard it yet, but this is a short time gig; enjoy it while it lasts. Something's gonna break. I've only heard the 3/16 show and am working my way forward. I hope I have the strength to bail when it gets into "sleepy" hostile Artie land. But the son of a bitch is too funny not to enjoy while he lasts.

The other two he mixed it up with are regulars, and one was their 'guest host' last week.

He was a jerk to the sports guy the other night about his residual check from Elf. He was bragging & saying it was $78000 & "I bet that's more than what you make in a year." It was very mean & unnecessary.
Also, he was late the night before, so I suppose he could be in withdrawals.

I stopped caring ages ago, unless it means the show is kaput. If the difference being that his absence means Nick is out of a gig, I think he's responsible enough not to sabotage someone else's lifestyle. So I think he's on the up and up. He's just bitter and pissed off, the way we like our comedians.

That was a real douchbag moment. Big fan of the show and Artie, but I like him a little less now. It's not jealousy or something gay like that. There's no way I'd want his life. It's just why rub in the fact that you're a drug addict who got lucky and hit it big and you made more in 16 hours than a lot of people do in a year? His days of being a longshoreman are over, like he really remembers what hard work is. Sorry for the rant.
