Every shithead knew except one - Beth. She mentioned once that they didn't get a Bulldog from a rescue group because at the time she didn't know they existed. Quite a statement from someone who claims to have been interested in dogs and involved with her local animal shelter since childhood. Makes her sound even dumber (if that's possible).

This. Plus, there are MANY purebreds in shelters everywhere. My first Old English Sheepdog came from a shelter in rural VA. My second one is a rescue, as well. My latest purebred, a West Highland Terrier, came from a shelter in rural TN. She is a horrible spokesperson for rescue!
