I think it's generational animosity on both sides. It's hatred passed down from generation to generation. What it really boils down to is that both sides think they're God's chosen people and were given the land. I watched a pretty good documentary on the subject called "Promises"

May 1948. UN charters a nation state for both Israel and "Palestine", with mutual recognition. Israel accepts. "Palestine" violently objects and swears to never recognize an official Jewish state. 64 years later, a few border wars later, a few intefada's later, and there is still an Israel, and there is still no Palestine.
From a religious viewpoint, there will always be an Israel, and Jerusalem is basically the capital of the world for good (Babylon being the capital of the world for evil).
From a humanitarian viewpoint, it is obvious that all of the surrounding arab neighbor countries use the poorest of the poor, the Jordanians who did not leave Israel, as pawns in a deadly game of politics and murder. Any of those oil rich countries could annex a site and declare a country for the "Palestinians". They will never do so. They need the common enemy of the Great Satan (us) and the Lesser Satan (Israel) and the Day of Calamity (May 18, 1948) to hold their caliphate together.
From a prophetic viewpoint, when Israel is surrounded and appears to be on the verge of annhiliation, expect God to come in and personally and visibly defeat all of Israel's enemies. Which is why, by the way, i try to convince you all not to be Israel's enemies.
you just cannot fight God, not with emotion, not with sticks and stones, not with bullets, not with bombs, not with anything. at the end of the day, God wins.

This. When God makes a covenant, He means it. I think the Jews will recognize Jesus and accept Him. They're still His chosen people.

i think the real question is, will you believe it when you see it? because you will not be forced to, and many will not.

aye; it is far easier to graft back in a true branch on an olive tree than it is to graft a wild branch to the olive tree

Israel was mandated in the bible so the jews have the right to kick anybody out and nuke a few around the edges for their own protection. Oblacky is a mooslim dog who want to wipe israel from the face of the earth because that is what allah demands. and that is not an opinion but undeniable truth. praise the lord
