Do any of you like a band u wouldn't openly admit to ur friends growing up or now that you like...I have 2 Abba and culture club.I like Abba after seeing momma mia on Broadway. As for culture club I liked a few songs but lets face it boy George isn't something to brag about...

I'm probably the opposite. Most of the music I liked growing up gives me douche chills now. And though most of my friends don't like what I listen to now, we're all old enough to realize that we each have different taste and we don't make fun of eachother for it. Back in the day we'd probably "unfriend" eachother over it.

My bros and I have a simple rule, you can like up to 3 gay songs and then the fourth makes you a fag. We're too macho to admit we like a soft band so we just left it at songs.

So Kellyg would you go on a concert date if your fella wanted to see a haarrible band?

Last year this hot German gal fresh off the boat invited me to this boy band concert. In the music video these squids all had Justin Beiber doos and skinny jeans so I just couldn't take her. Now I'm in my 30's so to be in an arena with this girl I could barely understand surrounded by a bunch of screaming teeny boppers? She never got over me saying no. :dontknow:

My first concert was New Kids On The Block.
When friends in high school would talk about their first concert, they would say shit like Metallica and Guns n Roses.
I'd just quietly slip away before they asked me.

It's an age thing; you young guys will figure it out. My first day on the docks someone showed me a ceramic planter or something and asked me what I thought. Being a college boy with all of my teeth, I mumbled something about it being faggot shit, just to fit in, when the biggest, toughest, coolest guy picks it up and says "this piece is really beautiful".

I'm proud to say that I love Air Supply and that the second record I ever bought was Christopher Cross. Also, I hold the Broome County record for classic rock trivia (41 million).

It's your thing. Do what you gotta do.

My first concert was Y&T. A metal band from the early 80s. But I only went because my friend's cousin was in the opening band. My second concert was Grandmaster Flash & the Furious 5. But that's because my babysitter was a bar tender at the club they were playing in and due to a scheduling conflict, she dragged me to the show. It was a very eye opening experience for a white kid from the burbs. I learned a lot. It was also my introduction to hip hop which was still very much underground at the time.

The first concert I went to on my own, by choice was:

That still is cool to tell people but believe me, in the years that followed I saw some very embarrasing shows.
