Probably one of the most difficult questions there is.
Both Godfather 1 and 2 are both great, but. I think I may like 2 a bit better.
But my number one would probably have to be the one I watched again a few weeks back for the bajillionth time. Heavy duty movie.

I watched part2 a couple years ago on an internet (stealing) stream , I watched the first half when they were in Italy with the English subtitles , Then it went to the 2nd half and it was in Fucking Italian :jj: I was pissed.
B.T.W. I still need to find Papillon and re-watch it . :thumbup2:

I have a box set of The Godfather Complete Epic, in a leather bound box, complete with a book of photos and Corleone family tree. Coppola spliced 1 and 2 together in chronological order for the epic, and included some deleted scenes. There is a fan made "recreation" using the new DVDs and the VHS footage of the Epic available on Demoniod. It's pretty cool if you've never seen it. Bravo or USA sometimes run it around the holidays.
Here's some Godfather trivia. What color represented evil in the Godfather movies?

Is the deluxe boxset you have the 3 VHS tape compilation or is the deluxe edition currently available as a commercial dvd?
I had the 3 VHS deluxe boxset but sold it on eBay for a bunch of money back when you could make a bunch of money for that kind of stuff on eBay.
I'm going to download the deal you're talking about from Demonoid.
When I talk about The Godfather I & II being in my top 10 of favorite movies- I consider both parts as one single film.
Stupid, I know but I can't watch The Godfather without following it immediately with Godfather II.
I'm not a fan of The Godfather III. I've seen it 3 or 4 times but without Duvall... it just doesn't reach me.

It's the VHS version. Even Coppola says he did 3 for the money. It definitely shows.
Did you know about the color they used to represent death in the movies? It's really cool wants you realize it...

Oranges are on the table setting in Hollywood producer Jack Woltz's dining room.
Oranges are on the table in front of Corleone enemies Barzini and Tattaglia at the meeting of the Dons.
During Connie's wedding, Tessio eats an orange, foreshadowing his death.
Sonny Corleone drives past a billboard promoting Florida Oranges shortly before being ambushed at the turnpike tollbooth.
When Michael is in Sicily, he meets a woman named Appolonia, which means orange.
When he first meets her, she is under an orange tree.
Don Fannucci (the black hand), is seen handling an orange before he is killed by a young Vito.
When Vito is shot, he just purchased oranges from a street vendor.
When he dies in the garden, he has an orange peel in his mouth.
When Michael is discussing with Tom and Rocco how they're going to assassinate Roth, Michael is eating an orange.
Johnny Ola brings Michael Corleone an ORANGE from Florida in GFII, and it's from Hymen Roth who of course wants to kill Michael.
Connie's husband is wearing an orange suit when Sonny beats him up.
Orange suite case bein placed in the trunk before Connie's husband gets strangled in the car.
Baptism scene is loaded with orange. Priest's robes, guy giving Moe Green a massage, orange shirt of the gunman in the lobby, lady in orange on the steps.
Connie wears an orange colored dress at end of movie while she commits murder.
Orange fell out of the bowl on the table in the room where the Commision had a sesion just a few seconds before the helicopter attack in GF III.

Those are just the main ones I can remember. I'm sure there are more. This isn't just internet conspiracy theory stuff. Coppola has written about this in a few different books.

In the Sopranos, Tony buys a bottle of orange juice and is followed by an attempted murder on his life by the orders of Uncle Junior.

I'm gonna resurrect this thread. I love The Godfather, and IMO Godfather I and II are probably the best made movies ever. And i never knew that about the oranges. ELias, I can't believe you wrote all those examples from memory! I thought for sure you were copying it from somewhere.
Being from Brooklyn, it's kind of like a rule that you have to watch it whenever it's on. A few christmases ago, I was in Brooklyn with a bf from the south, and it had been playing most of the weekend. I put the TV on and stopped on it, and he said "how many times can you watch this movie?" which seemed like the dumbest question ever, so i said "as many times as it's on!"
My favorite movie of all time, however, is Shawshank Redemption.
Is there a movie trivia thread? I suck at it, but it's fun. I always stump people with this one:
What movie won Best Film, Best Actress, Best Actor and Best Director Academy Awards?

I collect movies and movie props. It's a sickness. My phone will ring at to in the morning sometimes with a buddy asking "Who was the guy in that movie with that thing?" My brain is a cesspool of useless knowledge.

Are you friends with my mother? she asks me those same exact questions! The scary thing is, I can usually answer her. My father just stares at me and says "how did you come up with that from what she said?"
I didn't know about the other 2. I could have sworn it was a jeopardy question that said it was the only one.
here's another one.
Name the 2 actors who both won oscars for playing the same character. (this WAS a final jeopardy question) (and no, the answer is not "Pon")

I can't wait to show this to my brothers and sister. I had no idea that this was a common phenomenon. It's nice to know I'm not alone.
Here's another question for you guys. My father was very excited when he saw "Tony Davis" in a restaurant in NJ, I would say about 20 years ago. Who did he see?

Well, since no one wants to guess or even cares, I'll tell you. I said "who?????" and he said "that black guy from the movies"
My sister somehow correctly came up with Eddie Murphy.
