It's funny what a bigger paycheck does to some people. They can be pretty cool and humble, then their income goes up and they instantly become douche bags. Because in their minds their paycheck validates they're somehow better than others. I know someone like that. He got a big promotion and suddenly he was condescending as hell and acted like earning more made him expert on everything. Even shit that had nothing to do with his job.

Today he's been unemployed for 6 years, failed in a business, burned through money he got in a worker's comp settlement, had to sell his McMansion, and all the money he had is in land he bought just before the RE crash he can't sell. I assume bankruptcy is coming soon.

Gary lucked out and was producer for the Howard Stern show rather than some anonymous zoo crew. But in his mind $900,000/year says he's super talented and capable, even though he does the same job as when he made $30,000.

Hopefully, he doesn't have FU money yet, because I am looking forward in seeing how Gary's does post-Howard. I think it's ironic that the show has less viewership, is less impactful and barely registers on the pop culture landscape (except for a day or two when some desperate celebrity like David Arquette spills their guts), yet all the regulars carry this air of superiority.
